Approval for up to 374 dwellings at Wadebridge

LVA is pleased to confirm that Cornwall Council has granted outline planning approval for up to 374 dwellings on land at West Hill, Wadebridge.

In considering the application, the Council gave significant and substantial weight to the benefits associated with increasing housing supply (in the absence of a five-year housing land supply) in a sustainable location well connected to a main town which would help to promote an effective use of land, encourage sustainable modes of travel and secure a well-designed place.

Proposals for the site evolved following pre-application advice and subsequent feedback from the Council's Design Review Panel, with a view to presenting a high-quality landscape-led extension to the town that responds to the site's characteristics and immediate locality in a positive manner.
