On 6 June 2023, Teignbridge Council Executive Committee formally 'made' (adopted) the Ipplepen Neighbourhood Plan, meaning it now forms part of the Statutory Development Plan for the district.
Development of the Neighbourhood Plan first commenced in 2015 and has been subject to various consultation exercises followed by independent Examination which declared the Plan sound. A referendum was then held on 4th May 2023 with nearly 80% of voting in favour of the Plan.
LVA has been pleased to work closely with the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, Ipplepen Parish Council, landowners, members of the local community and other key stakeholders to see its site at Blackstone Cross (Blackstone Rd/Clampitt Lane/Conniford Lane) allocated within the Made Neighbourhood Plan for a comprehensive development of 100 homes which will include 30 affordable homes and 5 custom and self-build plots.
