The Planning Inspectorate has this week issued its appeal decision granting outline planning permission for up to 54 dwellings on land to the north of High Street, Dilton Marsh, Wiltshire.
In allowing the appeal, the Inspector concluded that the delivery of much needed market and affordable housing carried significant weight in the balance owing to the Council's five-year housing land supply shortfall. The Inspector was also satisfied that the site is sustainably located, and that the development would meet core objectives in the Framework that are directed towards making effective use of land and securing well-designed places, both of which the proposal would achieve.
LVA look forward to working with the landowners to select a suitable developer to take forward the outline planning consent.
