Somerset Council has today launched it’s Call for Sites, inviting the submission of land that might be suitable for a range of future development uses such as housing, commercial, employment, and community/leisure/recreation facilities.
The ‘Call for Sites’ exercise is an opportunity for landowners, and their representatives to suggest land that can be considered for future development within the Council’s emerging new Somerset Local Plan. This Plan will need to identify enough land to meet future requirements, and the Call for Sites process will help inform which sites might be considered for allocation in forthcoming formal consultations.
