An outline planning application for up to 110 dwelling on land at Kingswood Road, Kington has been submitted to Herefordshire Council and is currently awaiting determination.
The site forms part of a proposed allocation for residential development for up to 50 dwellings in the Council’s draft Local Plan (2024), with pre-application discussions having been held to explore a higher quantum of development on the site with a view to making the most efficient use of land in light of updates to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) in December 2024 and the new standard method for calculating housing growth which saw an increase in housing requirements for the Herefordshire area.
