Up to 175 new dwellings at North Petherton under consideration

An outline planning application for up to 175 dwellings has been submitted to Somerset Council and is currently awaiting determination on Land north and south of Daws Lane, North Petherton.

It is considered that the site can make an important contribution towards housing provision at both a local and district level on the basis the Council cannot currently demonstrate a five-year housing land supply and the current development plan for the area is out of date.

Proposals for the site will provide 30% onsite affordable housing (up to 53 dwellings) and incorporate significant areas of formal and informal public open space, play space, and areas of ecological mitigation.
