Up to 248 dwellings proposed on the eastern edge of Newquay

LVA can confirm that an outline planning application for up to 248 residential dwellings, with associated access, landscaping and open space on land to the north of A392, Newquay has been submitted to Cornwall Council.

The site falls within the Newquay Growth Area, as identified in the Cornwall Local Plan, and is considered to represent a well-integrated and sustainable addition to the nearby Nansledan community. The development proposals for the site have been subject to pre-application advice over several meetings with planning officers at Cornwall Council, input from their Design Review Panel and a local community consultation event.

The proposed scheme seeks to provide a mix of 1,2,3 and 4 bedroom dwellings including a policy compliant 30% on-site provision of affordable homes, with a large amount of publicly accessible open space and provision of footpath and cycle connections to the wider neighbourhood.
