An outline planning application for a mixed-use development comprising up to 650 dwellings, a care home, local centre, primary school and land for employment uses at West Wincanton has been submitted to Somerset Council.
Proposals has been sensitively designed to provide a comprehensive and sustainable extension to the town of Wincanton that responds positively to the natural landscape and existing habitats. Proposed development is set around a network of green corridors and public open spaces, with pedestrian and cycle routes provided throughout the site to promote sustainable active travel movement to and from Wincanton.
