LVA can confirm it has submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate following Somerset Council’s non-determination of an outline planning application for up to 252 dwellings on land to the north of Mudford Road, Yeovil.
Since submission of the application in March 2022, LVA has sought to work closely with the Council and statutory consultees to enable an informed decision to be reached, though this has not been forthcoming. As such, an appeal has been raised in order to obtain a decision on a site which LVA considers can provide significant benefits, not least the provision of up to 252 homes of which up to 88 will be affordable, in a sustainable location, alongside an on-site phosphate mitigation solution which has been agreed with Natural England.
