LVA can confirm that its appeal against Somerset Council’s non-determination of our application for up to 252 dwellings on Land north of Mudford Road, Yeovil has been allowed by the Planning Inspectorate.
In reaching a decision, the Inspector considered there has been a chronic shortfall in housing land in recent years and the appeal scheme would increase the supply of both market and affordable housing. Overall, it was concluded that the benefits of the appeal scheme would significantly and demonstrably outweigh the harm identified when assessed against the policies of the Development Plan, when taken as a whole.
